Default bounce to disc offline option

I like the speed that the bounce-to-disc offline option offers, but I have a couple questions regarding automation. In Pro Tools 12.5, (1) Does off line bounce to disc read track automation like volume and pan? (2) Does off line bounce to disc read automation on plugins on a track or tracks (not the master)? I can't find anything I consider definitive about this either in the reference guide or this DUC. The reference guide seems to say "yes", but when I listen back to my tracks it sounds like "no." Thanks.
Jim

Not at my computer right now but if I remember correctly all "read enabled" automation should be applied. Make sure no automation is in latch or write.

It should be identical barring any “random” effects from plugins that specifically have randomness as part of how they operate.

You can test this, do one online then one offline, phase invert and the result should be silence (barring randomness). I know that my bounces cancel this way

Thanks to both of you who have responded. That phase inversion trick sounds particularly intriguing.

BTD (offline or not) will include all automation, plugs, etc. It should be identical to what you're hearing in playback. If it's not, then something's wrong.
