That's pretty nice...I've been running a lot of outboard gear and impulses trying to get that big ampy sound...maybe I'll sell $1000 worth of stuff and keep the other 900 to buy another guitar to go with the expansion.

Now that would be cool, a new guitar ta go along with the new Expansion Pack!
I assume that a 7-string would be in order?

Teaser Alert (& warning):

If you guys liked what Mikey did here (on this sample) & I think we can all agree that it totally Rocked.........

Just wait a little bit longer.......

I've just listened to a 7-String lick (w/ Bass) that is so Swampy Thick & Tasty, it's Juicy & full-Bodied with a hint of Head Banging power that WILL make you (absolutely) lose control of all ur bodily functions (aka Pee yourself-up).......

& that's all I've got to say about that........It's coming soon to a town near you......

http://www.elevenrackpresets.com/Details/488.html

I used my 1990 Ibanez UV7PWH Universe 7-string guitar, and the rig consists of the DC Modern SOD amp + Classic 30 cab with the Dyn 7 mic off axis and 2.4 Speaker Breakup! I also threw in the new Dynamic Delay set to PONG, and the White Boost pedal.
Hello Mike,

Ever since your post appeared I had never had the time free to listen to your rig on 11R Presets and riff you posted on SoundClick. I only did it just a moment ago. And to quote 'Wayne's World', "Wow, you're ... amazing ... dude" \m/ .

That song/riff made my day a little brighter . You know if you turned that into a full song drums/bass/whatever I would buy it without a second's hestitation.

I'm not getting exactly the same tone from your rig, but, that could be because I have actives loaded on my guitar. What do you think I should do to modify the rig to get it a little closer? Other than change the pickups that is .

Wow dude, thanks for the compliment....I really appreciate that!
I also have that same rig on a collaboration recording that will be posted up sometime soon that I'm pretty happy with, so I hope you'll like it when it comes out!

As far as adjusting the rig to fit your guitar, one thing that you could probably try is cutting back on the midrange frequencies on the EQ to compensate for your active pups.
My Ibanez has the 7-string version of the Dimarzio Evolution pups in it, and combined with the basswood body it has, the guitar has a 'midrange scooped-out' tone to it. So I compensated for that by adding some midrange EQ to the rig.

Good Luck bro!
