I really can't compare the Waves bundle to Logic, since I don't have the Logic bundle. But I do have the Native Power Pack bundle (I assume that's what you're referring to) and I think it's a great deal. Just a year or so ago, if you were to have bought each of the plug-ins in the bundle seperately, you'd have paid AT LEAST a thousand bucks.

Don't even think about it, it should be required with 001 ![]()

As far as I'm concerned, I don't understand why Digi doesn't strike a deal with Waves to make a complete Digi/Waves package...it's that essential. The first thing you should put money in after you get Pro Tools is Waves plugins. Simply too much bang for the buck to be denied.

I'm curious what all of you 001/PTLE owners (or potential owners) think of the Waves plugins. I would really be interested to hear from Logic 4.0/001 users, as that (and a Sony DPS-55 efx box) is pretty much my frame of reference for quality in plugins.
I keep hearing that the Logic plugins are considered pretty good and probably better than those bundled with PTLE, or any other sequencer or editing program. They sound pretty good to me, but like I said I have a limited frame of reference, having not used much else. The Waves plugins are starting to look really good to me on paper, but how good are they really? There is a lot of things they can do that Logic's plugins can't do, but there also ought to be a significant jump in quality seeing as how the Waves bundle costs twice as much as Logic Platinum including its plugins. What do you guys/gals think? 'Cat |

After hearing the waves-stuff, you'll probably only use the logic plugs for fun...
