I had a brand new Firewire 410 that worked fine. Then one day I stopped being able to record my keyboards using the analog inputs.
I bought a Delta 1010 and I could record through the analog ins but I sold it becuase I didn't like it. I replaced the firewire PCI card and got a brand new Profire 610. I had the same problem with it. So I returned it and got a Fast Track Ultra only to find out that I have the same problem. What's should I do? If the same problem occurs with all those cards, make sure that the actualkeyboard and cables attached to it, are not defective.
Also, Fast Track Ultra comes with a software mixer facility. Click on the icon and make sure that mixer is on screen where you can see it. There is a tab called Meters. Switch to that, play your keyboard and see if it moves any meters. if it does not, it could be that on the Fast Track Ultra mixer, you don't have the sliders up for your input channel(s). Check that. Also check that your software return sliders are returning a signal. |
