Smile Flex channel sc48

I am having an issue with the flex channel in conjunction with a pair of latched channels. I attach the flex channel to my lead vocal(channel 35) and when I latch 2 other channels(19 & 20) the flex channel becomes unattached again. I am aware of the difference between selected channel mode and flex channel mode and am in flex channel mode. Please help. Thanks, Jeremy

Don't you double-hit a button to lock the choice?

You can assign only 1 handle to the Flex Channel, IIRC. It can be a 1 handle stereo pair or a single mono channel.

Tim is correct. Alternately, you could assign all of the channels that need to be controlled to a VCA, and then latch the VCA to the Flex channel....

So if I choose to channels in the input section, right click and click Latch, that is always going to connect those two I have selected to one-another and to the flex channel? Seems counterproductive. I often want two channels attached but not as a stereo pair, I guess there's no way to do that? Thanks for all your responses.

Hi,

Any single channel can be assign assigned to the Flex channel. This channel can be a mono or stereo channel (or VCA).

It is not possible to latch multiple channels, nor is it possible to link channels (other than by creating a single stereo channel).
