Default updated to 8.04 and not protools isnt working properly please help!!

Ok i just updated the mac firmware (running 10.5)and my protools to 8.04 and now for some reason when i open up protools and try to click anything it freezes with that dang ol beach ball...man talk about frustrating. I then have to force quit or protools with just shut down on its own and a widow show ups asking if i want to report it to apple or not. Man all this is happening right in the middle of a project so if someone could please help i dont know what is going wrong.. what should i do?????

my protools opens but when in the session its starts to act slow and freeze up with the beach ball and it wont respond i have to force quit protools

What firmware update are you referring to? Whatever it was, it's likely the cause of your problems.

The other thing is, don't use software update for things like that. Use the Combo update. Search the Apple site for Combo update 10.5.8. Then download and install that. It might correct the problem.
