possible to mute track and unmute another \"linked\"
Hi,
This is what i want to do. Mute one track (this is an aux that is monitoring itunes from the dig out of the mac into sp/dif in on the 192) and when i mute this track, at the same time! i would then like to unmute my mix bus channel and then vice versa, mute my mix bus and unmute itunes channel, so i can monitor just one source at a time, either the mix bus with my mix or the aux monitoring itunes etc. Obviously i would like this to happen with just one press of a button! racked my brain (pee size that it is) for about 500ms but couldn't compute a way to do this, did think about ducking using side chain inserts on gates/expanders and stuff like this is it possible to chain the mute and solo buttons on a track? so unmute also solo's the track etc? not at my rig right now, but perhaps there's a way to do this. Chris

Re: possible to mute track and unmute another \"linked\"
If you want iTunes to automatically mute when you start playback in PT, then this can be done with ducking.

I would love to do this. something like an 'inverse' group.

While we wait for “Inverse Grouping” (a great idea, indeed), try this, Chris:
Route each group of sources to its own aux channel. Solo safe the “source” channels within each group. Now you can switch between the two by soloing either “Master Aux.” IHTH.
