Compatability of 001 with modern pc's

Hey all... I'm changing from Mac to PC and I called my local dealer today to get a quote from him.

He basically said that they won't guarantee that my 001 will be compatible with the new chipsets and motherboards for PC. I've looked on the compatibility page here and it looks pretty straight forward.

I have a feeling he is trying to get me to upgrade to a 002.

Do you believe if I follow the compatibility document for PC's and my digi001 that I will have any problems. I've had compatibility issues before and I need to avoid them at all cost this time.

Any advice is much appreciated...

can't really help you beside suggest to post in the windows host system, you might get better or quicker response since it seems busyer and directly related to your question.
