hey DUC, this is a huge newb question that ive held out in fears of getting flamed, but please bear with me..
Ive been using protools since v 7.1, and have always been stumped as to why that particular key command(command+D) has never worked for me( even then ) ![]() whats even more odd about this is that if i use the drop down menu, the duplicate function works fine. doing it that way just wouldn't speed up my workflow. i know it sounds like a silly question, but any help figuring this out would be greatly appreciated. Thanx i neglected to mention that as of yesterday, i had another PT user come over with his mbox and macbook, and his command shortcut worked. mine seems to only copy to the clip board rather than duplicate forwards. its an odd anomaly. With respect, regarding PC, Ctrl isn't Start and Shift ain't Alt. The functionality of Modifiers modifies the normal action of any given keyboard.

So you're saying musicalavtech that Apple+D duplicates?

Yes Filo, according to the mac shortcuts. Command (Apple) + D is for duplicate. What is the PC equivalent?
