Default Constant 9129 and 6086 error messages

I have a Dell inspiron 8500 and I am using an Mbox and I have spent hours on the phone to both Dell and Digidesign and no one can solve my problem with constant error messages (9129 and 6086).
Even if I am playing with no tracks recorded, just a blank template, the program stops and gives me one of two of those messages telling me to adjust the buffer size. I can't get through five minutes without these messages constantly popping up. This has been going on for months now.
If anyone has come across these issues before any advice is appreciated
Aussie Adam
