1) separate clip at selection
2) copy 3) paste that to new location 4) I decide to delete the pasted clip (select and clear the pasted clip) 5) it also deletes the original separated clip Is there some setting or different procedure for clear/delete that retains the original clip? There must be some way, I must be doing something wrong. Thanks! |

Are you clearing it on the track or in the CLIPS bin? The latter will remove other instances.

Thanks for confirming. You can right+click > Clear the Clip on the track to leave other instances.
