Default Sharing Pro Tool files..

Question: What's the best site to share Pro-Tools files? I know I could attach it to a email if I had a Pro Friend but when we come to this DUC site, how can we share music in order to criticize it and etc.

Why don't you convert the songs from wav to wma or mp3 (or ogg!) and upload it to your website, or easily upload (up to 5000kbs) at www.filebunker.net ? Then you can grab and post the link the link they provide.

Well, that's a given. I meant moreso on the level of sharing Pro Tools files. Ex: U play a guitar riff and send it to me via "Pro Tools" file and I send it back to you with a hip-hop beat behind and so forth...Is there a site where ppl can share music or something of that nature..?

There's no site specifically for what you want to do (at least not to my knowledge), but all you need is a decent FTP service.
Alot of folks use YouSendIt.com, which can handle upwards of a gig, and it's free.
I hear the reliability is spotty, but....that's pretty common with free stuff.
Digi offers Digi Delivery, which I'm sure costs an arm and a leg.
I use the old fashioned method. I record my tracks, mail the session to my partner, he adds his stuff and mails it back. I'm talking about snail mail. U.S. Postal Service.
I'm just never in that big of a hurry.
Many of my sessions get to be 3-5 gigs, and one can spend all night uploading and downloading files of that size.

I've wondered this myself. If I burn a PT LE 7.1 session to DVD disk would another PT user be able to use the same session? What if I used plug-ins that the other user didn't have? What about compatability between PTLE and full-blown PT?

If you solo and highlight the track ( and any associated aux's with plug-ins ) and btd, your resulting btd file will have the fx / processors outputs bounced too.

Have you had good luck with "you send it" with large files?
