PT free or Session8 but not both

I have a system.....
ABIT BX6 rev2-PII 300-Voodoo3 3000-SB Live-Win98
Session8 cards installed and working, I have no problems with PT free if I boot my computer and dont turn on the ext. SCSI drive for session8, If I turn on the drive PT free HANGS UP BIG TIME! Not a big deal I guess, Also, will R2 support digital I/O???
