Default I have a client that wants an 8 hour long mp3. Anyone have a workaround?

ProTools won't transcode/export the file and I have a feeling it's a limitation of the Mp3 file format.
The error that I get is: "The requested file size is too large for the file type to support."
The only way I can get PT to export the file is to drop the bit rate to 64Kbs (Sample rate: 22Khz) making the file unusable.
Anyone have a workaround?
I realize that an Mp3 of this size could grind my client's computer to a halt but it is what they are requesting.
Thanks for your help in advance!

Hi,

How about bouncing or exporting as a wav. Then convert to MP3. iTunes even could do the conversion. Never tried this length though, but worth a try.
