Unhappy Problem detected with audio clock etc...PT10 and Mbox2, Snow Leopard.

Recently bought a used iMac i7 27" from late 2009. Installed Pro Tools 10 to use with my Mbox 2. Occasionally, I'm getting the error "Problem detected with audio clock. Check that your clock source and sample rate are correct".

Some projects work for a while, then I get the error. On some projects, I can't start playback what so ever. All projects are 44.1Khz and I'm using the internal clock.

Really don't know where the problem might lie. Is some USB ports better to use than others?

Updating to 10.0.1 right now, but don't expect it to make any difference. Is it simply my Mbox 2 (from late 2006) that has run its course?

Did you update the driver for the Mbox? Make sure you have the latest version.
Other than that, unplug the Mbox and boot your Mac with only the keyboard and mouse. Boot up and then re attach the Mbox and try it again. If the issue is still there then select the mac as the playback hardware and see if pro tools works without using the Mbox. If it does then most likely it is an issue with the Mbox.

Will try that.

I do believe I have the latest driver for my Mbox. However, Avids website is just as horrible to navigate on as the old Digidesign site, so one never know...

Is the MBox selected as the interface or PT aggregate?
