Default Pro Tools M-Powered version 8 compatiblity with Windows 7
Can I use Pro Tools 8 M-powered on a PC with Windows 7 64 bit? I am using a Fast Track Ultra for my interface.

I have Windows 64 bit with pro tools mp8 along with a fast track ultra 8r, and it is working great. Be sure to optimize your computer so pro tools can run the smoothest.

Okay,
I have obtained pro tools m-powered 8.05 and saved and extracted it on my desktop. During the installation process it stalls before the installation is complete. I have tried it over the course of the past two nights once without my Fast Track Ultra connected and once with it. The result has been the same--always at the exact same folder. Am I missing something?

Does it say anything when it stalls and fails installation? Try right click on the install file and run as administrator.

You must have updates 8.03 & 8.04 installed before installing 8.05. Both these are free downloads on the Avid website.
