RME HDSP 9652 + Protools HD3 accel in same computer??
Hey Gents!
I am pondering an easy, cheap and quick way to allow TDM HD10 + HD11 to coexist in the same computer. TDM & HD10 is the beez neez for tracking. HD11 is super for the long length sessions (voice overs, etc) and RAM intensive stuff. Has anyone tried sticking an RME card into the same computer as their HD rig? I just grabbed an RME HDSP 9652 off ebay for $70, and figured I'd give it a go. I am not entirely optimistic it will work. HD3 accel into Apogee 16x converters via the X-HD card. RME HDSP 9652 into the Apogee 16x converters via Adat. Thoughts?

I checked your activity and it says you posted today so I don't feel bad necro-ing this.
How'd this end up going? I've got my HD3 and my 9652 in the same MAGMA Chassis, and I'm trying to send the TDM audio ADAT out of the 96i/o into the ADAT in of the 9652, totally works so far But the 2nd DAW isn't receiving the audio from the 9652. I'm kinda stumped but I'm sure I'm close. Cheers. |
