Default Reinstalling PT Express

I just upgraded to a newer iMac running OS 10.8.5. I have an MBox Two and running PT Express 10.3.4 and want to run it solely on the new iMac. Do I uninstall it first off the old machine and then re install on the new one? Any videos or web pages with specifics on how to do this? Thanks in advance.

Hi

Just do a fresh install on the new Mac. No reason to un-install from the old computer as You can have as many installations as you want but only run on one computer at atime. The Mbox is the "license key" so just install the latest PTE version and Mbox drivers and you will be good to go
Best Regards
Christopher

PS. Regarding videos just google youtube and you will find loads of installation videos there should you need it but as you have had this working on the old compute once you just need to install again and use the latest drivers and PTE version.

Pro Tools Express uses an iLok for licensing, so you'll need your iLok with the appropriate license on it connected to the compuer. And AFAIK Pro Tools Express only works with 3rd generation Mbox so I'm not sure how it was ever running with an Mbox 2.

I have been struggling trying to log into download the software again. My iLok is registered and shows PT Express, but won't allow me to download it to the new machine. I didn't see an uninstall feature on the software on the old machine. How do I get the program installed on the new iMac? Thanks much.

Did you log on to you Avid Account to access your software or are you attempting to download it from your iLok Software.... Your post sounds if you are trying to download your software from your iLok.... Sorry if thats not the case...

But you need to access Account.avid.com and download your software that way.

Thanks

Jay
