Default Pro Tools Express on OS X 10.9 Mavericks

I just got a great deal on an MBox at Sweetwater. Now I had already upgraded my Mac to Mavericks before I made the purchase. I'd like to think I'm gonna get to use Express with my new MBox, but I won't be upset if I can't. I was just wondering.

Basically, my question is....

Will there be a patch to make Express work on Mavericks. Thanks

OK so I guess the fact that PT11 now works with Mavericks means there is zero commercial reason for Avid to spend time/money to get PT10 let alone PTE working with Mavericks

So I might as well upgrade PTE to PT11 and get on with my life eh…path of least resistance?

Or has anyone heard any rumours? Actually this would sure be in Avid's interest to clarify…a statement saying PT10 and PTE will NEVER be Mavericks-ready would surely mean a load of cash being spent that same day on upgrades??

So why haven't Avid made that announcement?

I had been using Pro Tools 6.4 LE for a long time on a Digi 001. The computer I was running that on crashed on me. So I've upgraded. Wanted to get a look at a newer Pro Tools with the Express that came with my MBox, but alas no update for Mavericks. So after researching all the available DAWs out there. I went with Logic Pro X. Sorry Avid but the price, and features were right. For the record though, I do love the MBox I'm using with Logic.

Because of your bravery Piers I installed Express 10.3.4 on my mac mini running Mavericks. All I had to open was the demo session, but it seemed to open and play well. At least I'll have options should I end up not liking Logic. Though at the moment I love it.

I am new to Mac and I was previously running PROTOOLS SE on my PC with Windows 7 and it worked great. Now I reloaded it on my Mac Mini and it give me errors about assertion errors or must be on a read/write drive. It will load my sessions but not allow them to play. Do i need to transfer the registration to the new system, talk to a avid support rep or ???? It is good to see that Maverick will work with PT SE! I just need help in getting reestablished so i can continue to work. Next option in reading a lot of the errors and problems others are having especially since i am debating about moving to PT 11, I have several friends who use Logic Pro and Pro X and say they love it. Help thank you
