connecting multiple 888/24 interfaces
Hi iv have googled this question and searched the community, but have been unable to find a answer so here I am.
Can someone please explain how to connect 4 888/24s together on a mix core card and farm card ? I have got two y splitter cables and 4 interfaces and clocking cables im just a little unsure, do they all get clocked together? how will this work? Any feedback would be much appreciated Thanks Leon |

Re: connecting multiple 888/24 interfaces
One MIX card can take 16ch, as in two 8ch interfaces. That is the easy part.
Harder part is clocking. Back in the day we used master clocks such as Apogee Big Ben which can distribute uncompromised clocking to the four interfaces. With short cables you should be able to simply use passive clocking cables from clock out to clock in of the next interface, but don't close the loop from last box to first box.
