sure, if they play in OSX 10.4.4 no prob. But not all programs may support this format. Sound files do not contain any executable code and are therefore largely platform independant.

The file directory structure is not changing AFIK on the Mactels. Apple going to a Microsoft drive directory stucture is probably not in the the future for Apple so SDII is safe for a few more years.

I've been having a lot of trouble reading some old Sound Designer 1 samples. None of my samplers or sample conversion programs will see SD1. The only thing that will is ProTools, so I have to convert with it.
