Mix24 + on G5

Digidesign claims that the mix 24 system won't work on Mac G5.

I have just prchased a Mix system.

I wonder if anyone out there have tried the mix system on a G5 and made it work out??

Even more important than all of these threads, is this statement from Digidesign.

If you are not working in post, buy the Dual 1.42GHz G4. If you are working in post, buy the Dual 1.25GHz G4. If you already own a G5, try to sell back the MIX system.

Internet is full of garbage in case you haven't noticed.

To the point, when PT was rebranded from DigiDesign PT to Avid PT (v9) the website was redone. Whatever says digidesign.com is pointing to the old website.
