Replacing Avid Xmon with Ginger Audio Sphere
Hello,
The old Xmon quit working (doesn't pass audio) so the quick fix was to install Ginger Audio Sphere. It works for monitoring but still need to iron out quite a few details. The com mic and headphone cue were coming from the S6 and need to be reworked into Sphere. The HD io that used to go into Xmon are now patched directly into the speakers which is very dangerous if playing back old sessions (full power playback). The recommended routing is using aux io to round trip through Sphere. It works but seems clunky to have to do that to all the old sessions. Do you import old sessions in a new template that has Sphere set up as the monitor ? Also I'm hearing random micro glitches occasionally (is that a feature of the aux io loosing sync? ) If you have some suggestions to streamline the set up it would be greatly appreciated.
