Avid 888/24 question

Does anybody know, qualitywise, what is the difference between the Digidesign 888/24 (black face) and the Avid Digidesign 888/24 (silver face)?

Hello everyone,

I thought I'd jump in for a second to clarify a misconception in this thread. The Avid branded 888 interfaces, past and present, do not have 24-bit converters.

Thus, there is no such thing as an Avid 888|24.
