GRM Tools Causes Freezing and Crashes.

hey everyone,

We recently installed an HD-3 system, it's on an 800mHZ G4, 1.5Gig of RAM, Tools 6.0.1 running in OS 10.2.6.

The problem is GRM Tools. Everything in their "classic" bundle seemed to install just fine. But then two plugs out of the bungle, I mean, bundle - "comb filter" and "band pass" cause the system to hang, with a "spinning disc" icon. Then, the only option is to force quit. If you go to the finder, then back to Pro Tools, the entire computer crashes OS 9 style.

The installer they sent was actually for OS9, so I ended up downloading the OS X versions from their web site, which I believe is version 1.5.

GRM hasn't come up with any solution yet, and I'm wondering if anybody else is having this problem. The rest of the GRM plugs work fine.

Yes! Those two plug-ins are not working under 48KHz!
Only under 44.1 Khz!
Stupid thing! I hope INA is working on a solution!

Actually the latest version is GRM Tools 1.5.1 and it still gives the same problem with those two plug-in!

Does anybody else encounter the same problem?

I believe there are two different versions of the plugs - 1.3.5 and an earlier number (can't remember which!)
If you install the wrong one it will give major errors as described above.

go back to the site and make sure you downloaded the correct one for your machine.

This may not fix the problem for you but it did for me...

Version 1.5.1 is the latest for OS X and Pro Tools HD.

There is only two plug-in from the Classic Bundle cosing the problem if the session is under 48 Khz, Band Pass, and Comb Filter! However these plug-ins are working fine under 44.1Khz in both application, Logic and Pro Tools HD!

One GRM Plug-In, like the "Shuffle" used to use up one entire chip on a mix card or on an HD Process card!
Version 1.5.1 is optimized for Pro Tools HD thus one
Plug-In usualy don't use more than 25% of one HD or TDM II chip!
