Is it true??!!
I just found out that there is no way to bring in volume rubberbanding from an avid through OMF except with the new DT2? Is this true? How good is it in 2.0? Does it really come in as it was in the avid volume-wize? Thanks in advance-

Re: Is it true??!!
Yes, with DigiTranslator 2.0 you can pick up volume and pan rubberband automation from later versions of Avid... or you can take clip based automation or you can ignore it all.

Re: Is it true??!!
Yes, the rubberband automation or clip based automation, take your pick.
You're correct, with DigiTranslator 1.x this is not possible, however, with DT 2.0 (and Pro Tools 5.1.3) it is possible assuming the OMF export is coming from a later version Avid (I think it started with Composer 10.1, Symphony 3.1 and later). Jon Connolly Digidesign Product Specialist |
