Default Aux Tracks with Hardware Inserts Don't Commit Accurately - Carbon

Hi There
just finished doing some testing to make sure...but hardware inserts are not committing the delay compensation properly when on aux tracks.

when the HW insert is an audio track, the commit of that track nulls when played back against the original (phase flipped)

that same HW insert if put on an aux and played back post commit won't null.

The aux will null when the hardware insert is "live", though. So i can confirm that the problem is happening in the commit stage.

Anyone else experience this? Avid?

further testing shows the committed aux track with a hardware insert gets committed about 2 samples early. i say "about" because nudging the committed audio 2 samples later causes it to *almost* null, but not quite.....

Could it be this.............

"Native to DSP cascade bus recording over mono subpaths early by 3–5 samples depending on sample rate. (PT-273251)
When cascade bus recording over mono subpaths to DSP Mode–enabled tracks from a source track that is not in DSP Mode, the re- corded audio may start early by 3–5 samples depending on the sample rate. To avoid this issue, do not use mono subpaths with cascade routing or enable DSP Mode on the source track."

i will test that, but in this case bc it's hardware inserts none of the tracks have are DSP Mode enabled (green lightning bolt)...

so committing hardware insert auxes with DSP enabled does change where the committed track is placed by 1 sample, but doesn't fix the issue.

super weird and really annoying!
