Default Applying plug in to a certain section

Is there anyway to apply a plug in to only a certain section of a track using PT10?

render with Audio Suite or Automate the Bypass button on the inserted plug

Create another track, drag the piece of the track you want effected to that track, insert plugin. Or you can automate "bypass."
