No Mic Signal and very low playback signal

Hi noob question, I have the Mbox 2 running with PT8 and i cannot get a mic signal, I've been at this for the past 2 hours now and its pissing me off.. lol so this is what i have hooked up:

Audio Technic AT2002 connected to Mbox with XLR
Phantom is on
it is on Mic input (button OUT)
I have Mix volume up full
and Mic gain is at half even if I put it full nothing... I can see the input Peak light flash when the gain is full so it's telling me there is signal...

But i don't see any signal on PTs, and when I record its not recording anything...

Output from the Mbox seems very weak... I've put the monitor volume all the way up, and all the way up on my powered monitors... and my cell phone is actually louder than the speaker..

Go to PT Setup>I/O, visit all of the tabs and Default on all four. That should get you inputs and may fix you output issue as well.

Where is the mix knob positioned and have you record armed the track?

Also is the track input set to the corresponding input you are using mic/line 1 or 2.
