Can't Extract PT8 installer for WINXP !!

I downloaded the PT8 installer and the celemony melodyne essential installers for WINxp and neither of them will extract. It says 'Either multipart or corrupt ZIP archive'
Ive tested my copy of win rar with other zip files and it works fine.

Anyone got any ideas?

I also uninstalled winrar and tried to unzip it with the windows unzipper and it said 'Unexpected end to file' and stopped.

This is so weird, ive never had a problem unzipping any files, including my Digidesign ones

maybe it didn't completely finish downloading, like there was still a tiny bit of data left to go?. Did you use the download manager? if the file is still in the same folder and you choose to download the file again to that folder, the download manager will check to see if that file finished downloading and if not will pick up from where it left off.

I did use the download manager, also tried re dL ing with the windows one not the manager and same result so im now trying again.
seems strange that it did it with melodyne as well

Had the same issue. There nothing wrong with the download...
Try the latest winrar.

Make sure the .zip file is not set to READ ONLY and Reboot and try running the Windows Extractor.

I had a similar problem on VISTA Business 32 and it wouldn't extract even after unchecking READ ONLY. After the computer rebooted the extractor ran just fine.

Also these are BIG files and may take quite some time to extract. If the extractor looks like its hung but theres no error message just let it work. It took several minutes on my Quad.

I had a successful download, but when I went to unrar/unzip...it wouldn't work.....tried everything...downloaded the PT8 file again and it worked.

Must have been a corrupt file during the download.

Yup. Just tried to open the PT 8 downloaded from last night and it's a no go. I got an "Unexpected end" error. When I restarted the DL manager it would just say "error". So now I sit and wait for another 5 hours...
