Lost serial Number/ Authorization code

Hello,

Just wondering if i could some advice of anyone. The time has come for me to upgrade my computer and i bought a lovely macbook running 10.4.9 which i am delighted with. My old Mbox also needs upgrading as it runs Pro Tools 6.7.( I use 7.2 at work everyday and wanted to get up to spec), firstly am i right in saying that i would need to be running 6.9 at the very least, because of the mac intel thing? Secondly and more worryingly i seem to have lost my serial/authoriztion code. I know it was attached to my manual but i seem to have misplaced that. I have turned my house upside down but it has really gone A.W.O.L, and i feel soooo stoopid.
Does anyone think i have a chance here as i bought the Mbox through a distribution company not direct from Digidesign and i did not register it when i recieved it(i don't remember doing this anyway). Am i screwed? Has anyone had this problem? If there is anyone from admin online can they advise me on what to do? I would appreciate any advice .

IF you lost your authorization code and IF you did not register, nor have any proof of purchase from an authorized Digidesign dealer, then I'm afraid you're out of luck and your only option is to purchase an upgrade to the latest version of Pro Tools for $75 at which point you'll receive a new authorization code.

IF, however, you can supply us with a receipt for your purchase, please fax it to 650.731.6384 and then contact Customer Service by phone (650.731.6100) to have them give you a new authorization code (which version would depend on your date of purchase and the version of Pro Tools that came with your system - so you may still need to purchase an update to get working again).
