I'm on Mac, so looks like an issue that affects both, depending on the scenarios.

So you freeze on a Mac as well ? Well then, I'm stumped...
I use my PC more than the Mac these days, so perhaps I'll take another look Cheers

This is still not fixed in 12.8.3 and macOS High Sierra.
I tried opening a ticket with Native Instruments, but, after the generic 'reinstall Guitar Rig' suggestions (which didn't help), their input was to "get in touch with Avid to help you decipher their hang logs. I did a search through them and could not find Guitar Rig mentioned in there at all." Seems like they will not be helping on this one.

Same here, having this issue on Mac Studio / PT Ultimate and as well Guitar Rig latest version.
Thanks for the investigation on Guitar Rig Issue, I'll check that out and leave GuitarRig out for the next mixes. Hopefully NI will fix that someday.
