OMF Import Error
I'm trying to import an OMF 2 from Avid Media Composer. I always use the "Import Session Data" to get the tracks into Pro Tools. This time, however, when I choose that option it gives me an error to the effect that it can't reconcile the audio sample rates. I'm sure that the audio in Avid is all the same sample rate and it matches the session I'm trying to import it into (48KHz). I get the same error if I try to open the OMF as a PT session. If I run it through the OMF tool it gets through half the file before it decides there isn't enough memory and quits. It's on a nearly empty 36GB Glyph drive so there is plenty of space for the files to exist. If anyone has any ideas what is causing the problem or how I might fix it I'd really appreciate it.
Mac G4 OS X 10.3 (I think, I'm not in front of that computer right now so I can't check the specs) PT 6.2.3 Thanks |

Re: OMF Import Error
This can occur if the audio was digitized into the Avid with mixed sample rates. Check out the following answerbase article: http://answerbase.digidesign.com/detail.cfm?DID=26216
