It is darker than PT indeed but it looks so slick! I really find MC's GUI beautiful.

Apple's dark mode feels kinda primitive by comparison, I don't hate it but it doesn't look as good as light mode (for now?). On non-retina screens fonts look better in light mode as well.

Got nuts: https://www.deviantart.com/customiza...time/?offset=0 A lot of them are animated, blinking etc. Personally that would drive me nuts

I use this one: https://www.deviantart.com/twipeep/a...sion-572437583 It's much more contrasty than the native dark cursor so you never loose it because it always pops no matter your colour setting.

It seems more cumbersome to modify the cursor in OSX, but you can modify its size in system settings if it makes it easier.

Damn that's nice! It's great that all of it can be customised by the user.

The current lighter GUI is one of the reasons I prefer Pro Tools over other DAWs.

Dark only as an option.

as an option, with Avid reporting well in advance that it would only be an option, so people who like the gui AS IS have nothing to fear, then i don't have an issue with it.

But since GUI's are big work, I'd rather Avid actually fix some show stopping BUGS that affect the working of the program on a daily basis.

You'd honestly choose this over the midi assignment bug, low buffer performance being fixed, and folders and pitch support added? *really*? To each their own I guess, but I'm allowed to find that weird.

I am sure I read somewhere that folders will start off track only and won't affect mixer...

That said, if they do it like Logic, it's pretty, um, logical.

That's how you develop software. Bug fixing, creating new features and optimising is something you do in parallel and are not mutually exclusive. Unless there is actually only one person developing PT, which is highly unlikely.
Also people are not paying a subscription for just bug fixing, they want timely enhancements to optimise their workflow, stay competitive and enable them to offer better services to their clients. Nothing weird about that.

True, but maybe not in the case of Avid.. They are so incredibly slow to bring new features AND bug fixes, that I simply worry adding more new features will somehow eat into bug fixes. Perhaps I am wrong and you are right.
Who knows how they work over there.

Hey, I'm A user, with MY own needs.
Yes, one of my needs is a dark bg when working in post. I don't work for Avid so I can't understand why your complaints are forwarded to me.
