Bouncing Quicktime Movies
I'm trying to do a bounce movie with a couple of short Quicktime movies that I downloaded off the internet then added sound to in Pro Tools LE, and one of them works fine when I double click on it's icon (the bounced file), but the other one (these are two seperate sessions) only opens as audio when I double click on it, although both icons look identical - that is, they're both blue with "movie" written on them.
Any help would be gratefully received. Tim York Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Probably because, the first one was originaly a QT movie and the other one was not (MPEG...). It's not because a video file has a QT icon that it's necessary in QT format (tricky ....). And ,as you probably know, PT can only bounce "real" QT movies. Try going back to that original file, open in QT, export as QT file (Cinepack or Sorenson), reimport in PT and try the Bounce to movie again. You should be fine.

Re: Bouncing Quicktime Movies
Yes - thank you for your help Mr T
I've realised that the one that worked originally had audio with it, whereas the one that didn't, didn't have audio with it (is this an mpeg?) Also, my version of Quicktime does not have these export options you speak of. Do I need Quicktime pro for that? Tim York |

Re: Bouncing Quicktime Movies
Or any other program (trying to save myself $30 here!).
Also, what else can I do in Quicktime pro. I'm totally new to the movie side of things so any guidance you guys can give me would be much appreciated. What other equipment do you recommend I need to set myself up to work professionally, putting audio to video for people. I've got a G4 400, with 001 and Logic audio platinum. |

Re: Bouncing Quicktime Movies
In my experience, you won't be able to import an MPEG file in iMovie, so ,sorry, but you'll have to get QT Pro. It's worth it BTW, if you want to work regulary on video files.
