EdiLoad v5 has been released with new Assembly window

I'm proud to announce the release of EdiLoad v5. Here is a list of what's included in this major update:

• New Assembly window can link location WAV files to an edit list to export all WAV channels in a PTX or AAF file
• PTX files can be imported directly into the main window to load user or original timestamps
• EdiLoad edit lists, AAFs or FCP7 XMLs can now be appended. See the new 'Append' toolbar button and File > Append menu
• AAF and XML video tracks are now flattened correctly for main window loads
• Multiple video layer EDLs can now be loaded into the main window simultaneously to create a flattened video list
• Added new 'Scene No' and 'Take No' columns which load data directly from AAF and XML files
• The Scene Change Track window now requires scene numbers in the 'Scene No' column
• Added the 'Extract Scene and Take Numbers' window to extract this data from Clip Names
• Added new 'Batch Update File Names' window
• Export Picture Cut Track now exports a PTX file containing clip groups for one or more tracks
• The Scene Change Track window now exports a PTX file contain clip groups or it can create a new marker track in Nuendo containing cycle markers
• WAV File List window can now export PTX files linked to mono and poly WAV files
• Column Transfer window contains new 'modify' functions with the option to append to data already present in column
• Added 'Find' field to the main window to search for data in the current edit list
• Added Undo and Redo for changes made to the edit list in the main and new assembly windows
• Updated the Pro Tools re-conform code for compatibility with PT2022.6+ on macOS
• macOS build is now a universal binary app (Native Intel and ARM64)
• EdiLoad v5 stores its preferences in a new file, so EdiLoad v4 can be used in tandem
• EdiLoad v4.0.4 can be run with an EdiLoad v5 license

NOTE: EdiLoad v5 requires either macOS 10.12+ or Windows 8+, while EdiLoad v5 licenses require a 2nd or 3rd generation USB iLok or sharable iLok license.

Just released #EdiLoad v5.0.1. with the following bug fixes and minor changes:

• New settings window in WAV File List window to select the sort order of WAV Files (by time stamp or file name) when exporting a PTX or AAF file
• Bug fix to load timestamps correctly while importing PTX files of rarely seen files
• While matching edit list events to WAV files in Assembly window, match is no longer case sensitive
• Now checks that clips do not overlap due to frame rounding for 23.976 and 29.97 FPS AAF exports from Assembly window
• The WAV extension is now omitted when including WAV file names in an exported PTX or AAF file clip name from At the Assembly window
• When limiting the channels that are exported in a PTX or AAF file by channel number, the values entered must now match the channel numbers, rather than be contained within

Just released #EdiLoad v5.0.2 with the following bug fixes and minor changes:

• Main edit list scroll position and selection is now retained when data is updated
• Track and Roll Name filter selections are now retained where possible when edit list data is updated
• Allow import of PTX files created by Media Composer 2022.12+
• During PTX imports, load Scene and Take Number data from linked WAV files if WAV is present and metadata is found in WAV
• For Scene Change Track window, update made to import PDF shooting scripts that contain hidden characters at left margin
• Assembly window PTX file exports can now configure the clip colors from the text in various fields, not just the clip name
• File exports that require a start TC to be set now handle lists that start at 00:00:00:00 correctly

Just released #EdiLoad v5.0.3 with the following bug fixes and minor changes:

• PTX and AAF files can now be exported from the Assembly and WAV File List windows containing WAV files that have the same name
• Added new match criteria checkbox 'Require Exact Match'. Check this when the match criteria is finding similar WAVs it shouldn't
• PTX file exports that contain poly WAVs created by Pro Tools now contain clips that are named correctly in the correct channel order
• Assembly settings, Track Name tab contains new controls to insert the WAV # as a prefix to the channel number/name in the track name
• Assemblies can now match to location WAV files that span midnight
• WAV library load code re-written to stop crash when folder tree contains invalid aliases
• Modify option 'Replace Text at end' now replaces correct text in source when multiple instances are found
• Pro Tools control script updated for new macOS Ventura System Settings window
• Tweaked position of controls in EdiLoad windows to work with new look of macOS Ventura
• Healing events in the main list no longer heals events that have a different mute state

Just released #EdiLoad v5.0.4 with the following bug fixes and minor changes:

• Change to all PTX export settings windows to allow six unique clip colors to be set
• Fix for bug introduced in v5.0.3 to allow the re-conform speed slider to set values above 100%
• Added new 'Export Report' button to assembly window which creates a text file containing all channel names and linked WAV paths in export
• Increased the length of the 'set channel names/nos to be included/excluded in export' text field in the assembly settings window
• Right-click on an assembly window edit list event now displays a menu to 'Select event in main window'
• Fix for bug introduced in v5.0.3 to assign WAV channels to PTX/AAF tracks correctly during assembly exports when the channel number is greater than 9

Just released #EdiLoad v5.1.0 with the following updates:

• Media Composer 'SlipPerf' data can now be import from AAFs and handled in the Assembly window
• 'Shoot Date' metadata can be imported from AAFs and used to match location WAV files in the Assembly window
• Assembly settings, 'Match Criteria 1' tab, the 'Match Values' menu can now match: 'Anywhere', 'From Start', or 'Exactly'
• Assembly settings, 'Clip Name tab', can now set Clip Name to include 'Scene No' and 'Take No'
• Code used to re-load WAV file database now works when database is stored on NAS that creates snapshot files
• WAV File list 'Creation Date' now displays correct time. Removed offset to GMT
• During PTX file export, the 'Clip Colour Settings' tab can now also set the clip color by the text found in the: 'Shoot Date', 'Scene No', 'Take No' and 'Info Text'
• During import of PTX files, now read track width data correctly for sessions saved by Pro Tools 2024.3+
• Major rework of PDF shooting script import code to allow import of more formats
