Default Re: Page scroll during playback

Could you give some details of your setup? CPU, speed, RAM, Digi hardware/software, etc.
Scrolling performance is sometimes related to processor speed.
This looks like your first post to the DUC, so I wasn't able to find out any details from previous posts.

Thanks.

Default Page scroll during playback

Do I have a bug? Page scrolling functions only occationally. When the page has scrolled let´s say one page anf loops back the last page remains on the screen and I can not see the cursor unless I manually move back using the scroll bar at the bottom.
Also the transport window settings keep changing spontaneously. This drives me mad. Don´t you think I should reload the program or what?

Thankyou for your reply.

My setup is as follows:

Apple G4 400 AGP. 256 MB RAM. Mac OS 9.0 US
ProTools 5.01 LE.
digi001 sound card
yamaha 03d mixerboard
emagic amt8 midi interface
lots of synths

Have also a friend running mac os 9.1 and Protools 5.1 LE with the same hardware setup, and he also has the same problem: (read): not scrolling..

Tia,

Regards, Claes

Claes,
-The Scroll behavior you describe (i.e. page does not update when the loop returns to the beginning after the Edit Window advances a page) is a known issue.

-This behavior will also be present in PT (TDM and LE) 5.1.

Regarding the Transport:
-Trash the Pro Tools preference and DAE prefs (the entire folder) from the System Folder>Preferences folder. Empty the Trash and relaunch Pro Tools.

Brent

have pro tools tdm 5.01 and it also exhibits weirdness with page scroll during playback enabled. everytime play or record is stopped, it leaves an image of the cursor across the page until return is pressed.....(means that you end up with many cursor lines)
