the Case of the Lost Plugins
I just made a major update.... bought more ram, put in Tiger, got 6.9 and voila.... I lost EVERY SINGLE plug in. Well, I didnt lose them, they are sittin in the library folder (which I cant lie, I was [bleep] around with because I had a font problem.... TOO many fonts does exist! lmao). So anyways, how can make them communicate again?! I dont have that many either, just the basics, plus I bought bombfactory about a year ago, so I can always re-install those, but I have re installed protools 6.7 and 6.9 and they just dont read 'em. HELP ME SOMEONE!!!!

Re: the Case of the Lost Plugins
Hi,
If you already tried to un-install PT using the CD un-installer and re-install with no change! then i guess you should try updating/repair tiger! there must be an install option where you can just repair/update the OS, plumb your Tiger install DVD in and have a look at the options for repair/update/over install etc etc. That would be my course of actions! good luck Chris

Re: the Case of the Lost Plugins
Do you mean the plug-ins are in the proper place (mac hd > library > application support > digidesign > Plug-ins) and when you launch PT, they're not loading? That's very strange.
First, verify that the plug-ins are indeed located in the right place. Then go to your user library > preferences folder and ditch the DAE prefs folder and launch PT. If that doesn't work, you might want to just download and re-install the plugs fresh and move on. Hope that helps. |

done. fixed. the problem was in the spelling of library, since I was [bleep] around with it, It was left being spelled "Libary", and I never realized it. DUMB.
