PT 2021.3.1 not seeing the HD Native Thunderbolt

Newly upgraded to 2021.3.1 from P.T. 11.3.2.
PT 2021.3.1 is not seeing the HD Native Thunderbolt (It's not available as an option in the Playback Engine dropdown menu).
Digitest shows the HD Native Thunderbolt

The system works fine with P.T. 11.3.2...

Yes I have the Digi Link I/O authorization on my iLok…

Any guidance would be appreciated...

Did you clean install or install over ?

Try quitting PT,, then holding down the (N) Key while launching PT ( this usually works on Mac )

If that doesn't work try trashing PT preferences,,, then again hold N key and launch

Did you install the latest HD drivers included in the installation folder for 2021.3.1?

Yes, clean install,
The option for HD Native Thunderbolt does not show up as an option in the playback Engine dialogue no matter how I access it (from the setup menu or holding down the N key upon startup)
The Win HD drivers are installed with the P.T. 2021.3.1 main program install.

Try this

Trash Pro Tools Preferences for Windows

Pro Tools 11, 12, and 2018

Close Pro Tools.
Hold the Windows key on your keyboard and press R.
When the Run window appears, type %appdata% and press OK.
Open the Avid folder, and delete the Pro Tools folder.
Restart your computer and launch Pro Tools.

small world as I recently ran into the same issue.

PT 2021.3.1 does not support HDx , HDNative, Omni and other Avid HW:

Only supports Carbon

You will need to "upgrade" to ulitmate.

This was my last straw with Avid and PT as it makes zero sense to release SW that does not even support your HW.

Thanks so much, you nailed it (the hard way). I had asked my sales person directly if ProTools worked with Sync HD and if I needed the Digilink I/O licence to work with my Merging hardware before purchasing both... They said yes, It actually works with neither. Wow.
