Certain instruments crash 8.0.3prx180 / OSX10.6.1

I've just upgraded from PT7 and am now running PT 8.0.3prx180 / OSX10.6.1

The template sessions when loaded crash PT.

A blank session & old sessions load & run fine, but when inserting instruments (Boom, DB-33, Kore, Vacum, Expand), PT hangs & I have to force quit.

I've found 8.0cs3 to be the most stable PT8 available at the moment for 10.6.

Uninstall Pro Tools (Can leave the plugins untouched) re-install PT8 and then update to CS3.

Or does anyone know whether 7.4.2 runs on SL?

Apart from that you've got a long wait ahead of you.

It could take years to sort out PT8 stability. There were nowhere near as many problems between pt5 - pt6 - pt7, but the jump to PT8 has loads of issues.......

8.0.3prx180 is running - I presume this is cs3.

My main work load is done in Logic 9, which is now working fine with this upgraded system.

It's strange that Pro Tools hangs when instruments (ie. Boom, DB-33, Kore, Vacum, Expand) are loaded, but is fine with others.

Yet to get into more work within PT8, what other issues have you been faced with?
