Virtual instruments

Hi all, I want to buy some virtual instruments and was hoping that you guys good point me in the right direction. What packages are out there ...pros and cons etc. Drums, synths, strings, bass, brass etc. I would appreciate any suggestions/advice...Cheers

One of the truly best bargains in the music industry right now is Native Instruments Komplete. It is a bundle of synths, samplers, sounds and effects that is extremely useful, extremely deep and crosses all genres of music.
