Default midi track won't play

Hi guys,
I have a midi drum track and percussion track, with the drum track inactive, as I only want to use the percussion track. Even though the percussion track is active, on the edit window it shows the track grayed as if it were inactive, and doesn't play.
If I activate the drum track, the percussion track shows un- grayed out, but still doesn't play. I don't have them grouped. I can't figured out what's happening.

They are both ez drummer... is it something in ez drummer?
