Default auto fades when editing PT HD 8.1.1

hi
is there a way to automatically fade the end and start of a region when editing it? as in selecting part of a region and deleting it, and having the adjacent sides faded.

I know other DAWS do this.
I'm using Protools hd 8.1.1 on Mac

tks
