Default Default Eq and Dynamics

It seems that the little bug i had that was fixed is back in 8.0.4
at random i will lose my Default EQ and Dynamics.
i will open a new session and the defaults are gone.
i'll reset them work for a bit, go to another session and there gone.
this was fixed in some rev but seems to be back.
anybody else seeing this.
confirmed on 2 different machines running 8.0.4
did all the usual pref and data base trashing.
thanks in advance

Don't rediscover fire every time you start a new session.

Create a session with your basic set-up, a few tracks, inputs, busses, etc.
Instantiate EQ/comp/Reverb - whatever, but de-activate them until you need them (or not - boots faster if they are "quiet").
Save it with your "favorite" EQ/dyn intact, and anything else you commonly use in a session.
Save it again
Go to that session file, get info.
Check the box that says "stationery pad", then check "locked".

Now, whenever you have a "new" session, open this session instead.
It will ask you to 'save as", so save it as whatever it is you're doing.
I have a preset for every different session - recording from ISDN, sending mixes, a 5.1 version, a stereo version, VO recording, rhythm date, etc.

If you want to modify it, just unlock it & uncheck "stationery pad", open it, modify, save (close), and re-lock it/pad it again.

thanks,
but i guess i wasn't clear.
i'm talking about opening existing sessions.
in my job i'm working on many different sessions a day.
i will go back to a session that i worked on earlier or even the day before and the defaults are gone.

I do use a temp for any new sessions with all of my plugs/screens already setup. great way to start a new session and we all start from the same temp.
thanks again for your help
