Default MTC Question

Hi people I am new to the Mac platform and I have recently loaded in Protools 6.0 for the 001.The Mac is a new G4 1.25 running OSX.My problem is that DIGI dosen't seem to be generating MTC or MIDI Beat clock.I have enabled MTC to port within the 001 software, also have gone in AMS>Midi Set Up,Assigned MTC transmits/recieves,assigned channels, assigned clock, assigned MMC.The 001 is connected to an AMT8 Midi interface via Midi cable, the AMT host is a windows sequencer and have had no problems wit the old PC SET UP.In the Midi set up/menu within the MAC it reports the 'device is online' ,I can't figure what might be wrong and thought maybe some one can help. Thanks and Cherers.

Make sure that the Frame Rate Settings match (Drop, Non Drop, etc..).

Unlike earlier PT versions, in 6, if you forget to match that setting with your other gear, PT just sits there and "waits for sync". In the "old days", PT would just happily go along regardless of this setting, whether it was right or wrong and you had to "remember" to check it.

HI everyone, bzldzl sorrry I can't offer a lot of help but this is I can suggest, try the upgrade to 6.01.I can now generate Midi time code[DIGI MIDI PORT OUT TO AMT LOGIC INTERFACE]but is still very unstable, the MTC message allways stops within 10 minutes where as Pro tool 5 use to generate for hours[having to relaunch protools to start MTC each time].Can anyone help could this be a ram issue?I am running only 256 meg on a new G4 and am very unimpressed by this slack performance with such a simple task.CHEERS.
