Default Projectmix line output configuration

I will be purchasing an outboard preamp and will be inputting through the line inputs on the project mix. When I do this, will the inputs still pass through the projectmix preamp stage in any way and possibly pickup noise from the projectmix electronics or will the signal bypass the preamps completely?

Default Re: Projectmix line output configuration

I'm pretty sure the line inputs run through the preamps.

Get an AD device and run your outboard gear through SPDIF or ADAT optical.
