Default Ethernet controllers and folder tracks

Has anyone tested the D-command or D-Control with fader tracks in 2020.3? Just wondering if it works as expected or if they pose issues come mix time.

I haven't tested it personally, but I have read that on the Icons, when you click on the folder track on screen to expand it, it spills across the faders on the Icons. Doesn't seem to be a way to open the folder track from the control surface on icon, although there is on Eucon controllers apparently.

Has anyone tried to use an iPad and AC in addition to ICON? I know its a clash of two worlds, but I think the Softkeys and Track tabs may be useful for some of the new features.

Eucon and DigiNet (Icon network protocol) aren't permitted to co-exist unfortunately.

Unfortunately, they can not function at once. I would love to have AC and ICON working together.

Regarding the D-Command and folder tracks, only what's visible. However, I haven't tried adding a custom fader group to one of the tracks in the folder. I'll check that out now and get back.

(Hi Pete!)

So, D-Command only shows tracks that are visible. HOWEVER, you can access your collapsed tracks via "tracks > hidden tracks" or "custom fader groups".

Good workaround for some situations. Do you have your custom faders set to 4...? You can have 8..

In that video example, I had it set to 4. I wish I had a fader pack or two, it's so hard to create and edit CFG with only 8 faders.

I have mine set to min 8 and justify left so they fill from the left end as you populate them, works pretty well. When you get 7 in your group and only have the eighth fader left to find the track you want, scrolling through tracks using the jog wheel makes it a bit quicker.
