Mbox 2 Mini - Using as primary sound driver

I recently purchased an Mbox2 Mini so that I could make my pro tools mobile without having to carry a larger interface around with me just to use it. I wanted however to use it as my main audio driver when I carry my smaller studio monitors on site. Is there any way that it can be set this way so that all of my windows functions will use it as the sound driver? Specifically it would be nice to use it in iTunes and a few other applications outside of pro tools because everything sounds nicer on my monitors than through my laptop speakers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I wouldn't. Basically using the Digi hardware for that kind of playback have never worked as well as using the on board soundcard. If you def must, then yeah, there's a way. But from what I understand Digi hardware and iTunes still aren't the best of buddies.

What you need is the wavedriver and the MME helper. The wavedriver is installed automatically so you'll just have too choose the Digi in the control panel to be your default playback device. I don't think the MME helper is installed automatically but you can download it from Digis website.

If you're having much problems with iTunes you might have to change your Quicktime settings.
