Default mbox 002r dual install?

I know digi has stated that they don't support dual installs of LE software (mbox, 002/R), but i just know somebody has figured out a way to work around it. will a different login work? manually moving files around? anything? anybody?

sorry if this has been touched on before...the search function for the duc seems to not be working for me.

thnx

Since Pro Tools 6, it is the same software for the Mbox and Digi002 so there isn't anything special that you need to do. From my experience it doesn't matter which interface is used first. Just close Pro Tools, disconnect the interface and attach the other and it should work fine. If you have any problems with it just post and someone should be able to help.

Theoreticly you should be able to take the Mbox off and throw the 002 onto the system. The only problem you may run into is moving the 002 between computers you may have to update the 002's firmware every time you make the move between computers. If each computer is running the same OS version andPT version it should be seemless.

I'm trying to do the same thing with my PowerBook. I want the option to use either/or to record live.

The other option is to create a Dual Boot system on the mac but it will mean partitioning a drive then moving it to the Master Buss and installing two separate OS's in the two partitions. I've never done it but it can be done.

That is how I use mine and it works perfectly.

How did you install it? 2 versions of PT, or just the audio drivers?
