Default Strange Delay Comp Figures (with screen grab)

Hi there, i've got a session with no plugins at all in it. Can anyone explain to me why there are figures of '6' & '16' in the track compensation indicators ?

https://files.me.com/ru_cook/i5bpav

Have a look at the bottom right hand corner of the tiff.

Note this is a very simple session. What you can see in the screen grab, is all that there is.

Every time I think I understand ADC fully, I'm not sure I do !

Thanks in advance, to anyone that can shed light on this.

Ru

Are they being fed by Busses or I/O?

Is it because all your drums are being bussed, so the bass, gtr and vocal tracks etc are compensating for the delay caused by the bussing on the drums.

Can't account for the compensation on FX1 & FX2

Right, the drums are bussed to the 'Drums' Bus. Then the 'Drums' Aux & the rest of the tracks are bussed to the 'OUT' Bus, & that Aux is fed to Outs 1/2.

There are a couple of FX Aux's set up ready to go, fed from a couple more busses, but all plugs & sends have been removed, to make this diagnosis easier.

Everything in the session can be seen by looking/squinting at the routing on the screengrab.

So does a regular 'bus to aux' add 6 samples?...& as Lennieh points out....why the 16 samples on the to 'FX' busses to the right?

Hi,

So the aux tracks fx1/fx2 displaying 16 have sends assigned as inputs and the audio tracks have interface inputs assigned?

aux tracks have latency! add a send as the input and the send also has latency so higher delay readings.
